Serena Bansal

UK HCPC Registered Dietitian

Serena is a UK HCPC Registered Dietitian with a keen interest in IBS and gut health, most specifically the low FODMAP diet. Serena is dedicated to providing those with gut conditions the support that they need and is passionate about improving their overall quality of life, providing them with the tools to confidently manage their conditions.

She understands what it is like to live with a gut condition after having first-hand experience of living with IBS. Serena was previously a patient here at The Food Treatment Clinic before joining the team. Her personal experience is a motivator to help others through their own experiences and to help them achieve symptom relief.

Serena joined The Food Treatment Clinic in 2022 as the Business Manager. Before this, she completed a student internship with us for a year. She also completed her public health placement with us during the final year of her Dietetics and Human Nutrition Degree, where she helped to develop our low FODMAP ebook. Since this, she has gone on to develop our SIBO and histamine intolerance ebooks too!

Here at the Food Treatment clinic, Serena has a deep insight into the business and is responsible for the day to day operations. She interacts with all team members, creating a happy working environment. She supervises our student and dietitian interns to support them through their roles, helping to develop their skills and knowledge. She ensures that our blog posts are evidence-based and up to date so that we can correctly educate you on all things IBS and gut health!

Serena also works at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. She previously worked as an Acute Dietitian, working on the gerontology and orthopaedic wards supporting inpatients through both oral nutrition support and enteral tube feeding. She now works as a Specialist Weight Management Dietitian supporting patients with diet and lifestyle changes, as well as supporting those who would like to have bariatric surgery.
