Our Ethos
Gut health is essential for our overall health, so our top priority is to help you achieve a symptom free life without fears or anxiety around food. We want you to have full food freedom and to be able to enjoy life!
As you are the ones living with your gut symptoms, you know your body better than anyone else. Therefore, we are here to guide you, listen to you and to work with you along your gut health journey to achieve optimal results.
Take Control
Our approach is called the ‘Take Control’ method. This embodies the 4 principles of gut health to both control your symptoms and improve your gut health for longer term relief;
- Diet
- Mental wellbeing
- Sleep
- Movement
We believe that everyone deserves to live a healthy and happy life and we want to help you achieve that.
Everyone is unique and we recognise that there is not a one size fits all approach. This is why we tailor our advice to you specifically as an individual, taking into account previous medical history, lifestyle factors and putting you at the centre of our care.

What we are against
At The Food Treatment Clinic we take things very seriously when it comes to inaccurate information.
It is important to get your information from reliable sources and from qualified health care professionals.
We will only give you accurate, well researched and evidence based advice that is proven to work. We will not mislead you or provide you with advice that has not been proven to work.
We do not believe in following restrictive diets for long periods of time. This can do more harm than good for our overall gut health long term. Research shows that gut health is optimised through diet variety, so we aim to get as much into your diet as possible.
Website Editorial Processes and Standards Statement
The blog section on our website has numerous articles on gut health. All advice is based on peer-reviewed, published scientific articles and the latest medical guidelines.
Each article is reviewed by a HCPC registered dietitian on our team before being published. In this process, it is is fact checked for accuracy, safety and to ensure it is up to date information.
Registered dietitians undergo a minimum 3-4 year undergraduate degree and are registered and regulated by the HCPC. They have to do yearly training to stay up to date with their knowledge and comply with this registration.
Articles are updated at least once a year so that information remains up to date and accurate.
Please note that the information on this site is for general information only and not personalised advice. Please consult with your own healthcare practitioner before making any dietary or lifestyle changes. You may read our disclaimer here.
