Kirsty Donald

Specialist Gastroenterology Dietitian

Kirsty Donald is a UK Specialist Gastroenterology Dietitian with over 8 years experience helping people to manage their medical conditions through changes to their diet and lifestyle.

Kirsty has been working for The Food Treatment Clinic to guide people with IBS to success for 3 years now and has mastered the unique Take Control method – sleep, movement, mental wellbeing and nutrition. The 4 pillars of IBS clarity and control.

The reason Kirsty was asked to come on board, is because her dietetic practise and personality fit the company ethos – to provide people who have been suffering with IBS that 110% support that they need to overcome this all consuming condition.

Like many dietitians, Kirsty started her career in the UK’S National Health Service and her passion can be seen in what she has achieved there. She has set up a unique dedicated functional bowel service, providing patients with FODMAP guidance. She has also set up a dietetic led coeliac clinic where she takes on the role that typically a gastroenterologist would do and manages patients with coeliac disease from the point of diagnosis.

Outside of digestive health, Kirsty has a passion for sports nutrition and was keen to be able to help those in sports with their gut health problems which can be so debilitating. To support this practice, she carried out a masters level qualification in Applied Sports Nutrition from St Mary’s University (UK).

As you can probably get from this page Kirsty is just so passionate about helping people with digestive problems and that is why we are delighted to have her on the team.

“Thank you so much You explained things really clearly and made it easy to follow the diet.

As you know it has made a massive difference to my health and ability to enjoy my day”
